We really want Jazz East to be a fantastic community experience, so we're looking for some local folk to help us out.

We're now looking for local residents with an East London or West Essex postcode to volunteer so whether you're young and serious about getting a new career in the events or music business,  you're a massive jazz fan that wants to help out or you just have great life experience you want to pass on to others, then read on!

Your role as a JazzEast Host  is to make sure EVERYONE has fun, gets to enjoy some exciting live jazz music and stays safe, healthy and happy!

So, we need a team of all-rounders!

One minute you could be a Greeter, a camera operator or a social media guru, next minute, helping on the door, keeping the venue clean and tidy or looking after a Band! Anything…… in fact everything to be make the whole thing run smoothly!

We’re looking for upto 10 Hosts who love live music (it may be a bit loud by the way) and will be available for split shifts from midday to 2am. (....so we’ll happily feed you and let you have a quiet breaks during the Festival of course!)

You may already have some event stewarding experience but above all you’ll love making people go away from an event with a huge smile on their face.

We’ll brief you beforehand (likely in the pub, beforehand!) and make sure everyone’s up-to-speed with the event, the proverbial health & safety issues, the teams you’ll be working in and we’ll give you a bit of background about the Borough’s Jazz heritage past and present.

We’ll issue you with your very own, very cool, and very hard-to-come-by #LondonEastJazz hoodie as your uniform for the day and for you to keep, wear and be proud of after) and as a big thank you (but only if you’re good!), you’ll be invited to join us free of charge at any more jazz events and festivals we run throughout 2019, our Borough of Culture Year!

I look forward to meeting you soon and if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch at any time…. but please note, applications close at Midday on 10th September 2019 so get in quick!

Huge thanks in advance.
