about jazz east: east london's One-day indoor jazz festival

Here we go......!

Jazz East is the UK's newest one day indoor music festival brought to you by The London East Jazz Network, East London &Essex's leading jazz promotion agency.

As jazz and improvised music re-makes its mark on the music world across the Capital,  Jazz East showcases this incredible music & culture with some of the UK's award winning rising stars alongside local talent and ones-to-watch in the future.

Jazz isn't just old, noisy , made-up or doobiedoobiedoo music....it crosses blues, afrobeat, classical, hip hop, house, R'nB, rock, funk and folk music so we've curated a mix of live musical performances that will interest, excite and re-imagine new and existing audiences that love watching good music created from the heart of its performers and composers.

This is our first year and we're super-proud to be hosting Jazz East at the uber-cool Leytonstone Ballroom, in Leytonstone, East London. Perfectly located for late -night transport and in the London Borough of Waltham Forest, London's Borough of Culture for 2019, we're determined to show the rest of London and the UK what a powerhouse in new music East London and Essex really is....and we want YOU to be part of  history and our exciting jazz story!

A LOCAL LIVE MUSIC & CULTURAL FESTIVAL THAT CREATES REAL & MEASURABLE LOCAL IMPACT

image22

The London Borough of Waltham Forest is the Mayor of London's first Borough of Culture for 2019 so we've chosen Leytonstone as our home to Jazz East.

Holding JazzEast in a respectfully restored, historic and tastefully regenerated  heritage ballroom, we aim to combine physical regeneration with our vision to deliver measurable and sustainable local social & economic impact.

We take prode in investing in the delivery of a free-to-access local community engagement programme from any profits we may derive from the Jazz East festival.
